Parts of Manchester are fabulous and the buildings are absolutely industrial chic photographers dream. Some areas outside the main drag are very rundown. For example the area around the Man City Football Stadium and the new Co op arena (Beswick) is very deprived. One one side is a lovely walk back to the city centre and on the other is a rundown depressing housing estate. The juxtaposition is striking and obscene

Second time we've been to Manchester, it's a very busy city, and we'd love to go back and explore it properly
The transport system looks very impressive, and loads plenty of shops, unlike a lot of places, we'll definitely be returning

Room was dimly lit and very cold.
Room was dimly lit and very cold. Dead bug on windowsill.. paint chips on wall. very small bathroom. My advice? Go to hotel closer to airport. They told me they had a shuttle and breakfast. They failed to mention there was a charge for both! I didn't go into Manchester only stayed at the hotel

The old buildings were stunning.
The old buildings were stunning. The people were very friendly. We felt very safe walking around. We were there for the AJ Bell Great Manchester race. 18 of us travelled from Ireland and we had a great weekend and would highly recommend this race to all runners. Some of us did the half marathon and others did the 10k. So well organised and fantastic support from the public and volunteers. We also visited the Coronation Street set. We'll worth a visit. We were in walking distance to most things and got a taxi to the Coronation street tour.

Manchester is a great city full of life, interesting night...
Manchester is a great city full of life, interesting night life but also full of peaceful and quiet places. Together with the canals running throughout the city center anyone can find a perfect spot to hang out and have fun. Not to mention the city´s great industrial and music history which it still lives up to. Locals are usually friendly and welcoming. It really is a one of a kind place, worth visiting at least once in a life time.
Classic british pubs or modern craft beer pubs, fancy coffee shops, but also a lot of affordable options to eat.
Traffic can be relatively difficult but public transport options are fast and reasonable.
Very nice spacious hotel and good rooms with views over canals. Lovely peaceful location with easy access to Manchester City Centre, as well as walking distance to Lowry Gallery & Theatre plus Media City and Salford Quays eating/drinking and shopping. Great breakfast with plenty of options. Also fabulous staff who work super hard and keep everyone happy - even when 90% of the guests turn up at the same time for breakfast and pile their plates sky high with everything they can lay their hands on!
This is a stunning hotel from the moment you walk through the door. The decor and attention to detail have been excelled and you can tell everything is bespoke. Every little detail has been thought out even down to a glass of champagne while check in is arranged. Its a beautiful space for any interior lover and the furniture and spaces are stunning. The staff here are probably the best I’ve had in any city centre hotel. If you get the chance to stay it’s a must do in Manchester.
The Hilton hotel Deansgate is the best hotel just few minutes from historic city centre of Manchester & walking distance away from all activities with different tastes.
The great asset of Hilton Deansgate is friendly staffs & great atmosphere. Well done to all staffs 👌
To get panoramic view of Manchester & surrounding countryside is to book the highest floor. Recommended: The 23 floor is must place to visit to get the best view while you are eating your lunch or dinner
Stayed at the hotel for the Manchester Marathon.
Room was very clean and comfortable.
Access to local amenities - hotel is very near a big shopping centre with various fast food outlets.
Access to transport - hotel is walking distance from Tram station with direct link to Manchester city centre; only a 30 minutes ride and stops at Old Trafford which is 1 minute from the start of the Marathon.
Checking out was super quick and easy.
This hotel is definitely one of the best value for money in Manchester, the location is so good, right in the centre of the city, just outside the door is the square town hall and tram platform, there are many restaurants nearby. The hotel is very comfortable and clean and the people at reception were very friendly! And they have a restaurant and bar downstairs at ground floor and is very large and very cosy!
One the best hotels that I have ever stayed in - the building’s architecture is superb; the staff very accommodating and available; the room was very comfortable, clean and roomy. The lobby and just the hotel presentation felt very regal. The restaurant and wait staff were also most excellent. I highly recommend The Midland and would stay here again when visiting Manchester.😊
The room was clean good night sleep room must of been sound proof and could not hear a thing great slept well I liked the down stairs area seating and bar looking good 👌 good hotel
Modern and good location right in the city centre of Manchester my home town night life is
Buzzing had great time out at 2 brilliant restaurants sancarlo and tampopo close by.food 😀 very good 👍.
The room wasn't big or anything but it was really comfortable and it had everything we could need. What made our stay even better was the staff - they were really kind, helpful and welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay good. The hotel is right next to the city centre. We would be back again our next time at Manchester.
This was the coolest hotel we stayed at across our trip of Ireland, England, Wales and Scotland. The hotel was absolutely beautiful and it had great upgrades that fit perfectly into this older hotel which was Manchester's original Stock Exchange. It was wonderful and memorable and really comfortable.
The atmosphere of the hotel is really cozy and it is set in a quiet neighbourhood close to a tram station. Our room was quite big for uk standards and really comfortable. I would totally recommend this for your trip to Manchester, far from the chaotic city centre.
Reception staff were extremely helpful on arrival, the hotel reception area was clean and tidy. Great location, easy to get to in Manchester City Centre on the Tram and could also use Tram for other destinations, but we used the car.
We stayed when the hotel was new so we were already familiar with the location on the edge of Manchester City Centre. The checkin process was quick and friendly but that’s the only real positive thing I can say.
Location is the best thing about this hotel. It is in a prime central location for exploring Manchester City centre and for access to rail links for other destinations. Room facilities are good.
The location of this hotel is fantastic. You are slap bang in the middle of Manchester city center. The staff were friendly even at 3am in the morning and the room was clean and tidy.
A beautiful hotel with original features, it is located in Manchester City centre close to shops and tourist attractions, and the staff were very pleasant, helpful and friendly.
